Andrew Ameral is the former Director of Anatomy at the Florence Academy of Arts, Italy.  He is a master artist who's workshops are in demand around the world.  Irina Elkina was greatly impressed with Andrew's technical skills and artistry when she met him at a workshop in America.

Classical Figure Drawing and Painting Workshops in Geneva

These two intensive workshops will give students an opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience rending the human figure from life in panel and/or paint.  Class sizes will be kept small, with a maximum of 7 participants.  We have hired a great model for both workshops.  Each day the instructor will devote 1 hour of lectures and then provide demonstrations focusing on better understanding the anatomy and construction of the human form and its features throughout the day.

Classical Figure Drawing Workshop July 8 - 10

The curriculum of this workshop highlights the introduction of sound academic techniques and the Sight Size method.  Stages of the classical process will be explained and practiced.  Price is CHF 750 for 9:30am to 4:00pm with a 1 hour break for lunch,

Classical Figure Painting Working July 11 - 13

Students will have the opportunity to obtain a fully finished and accurate representation within the range of their experience and ability.   Learn the oil painting techniques of the Masters from the former director of the Florence Academy of Arts in Florence, Italy.  Price is CHF 750 for 9L30am to 4:00pm daily with a 1 hour break for lunch.  Special discount of CHF 300 for artists taking both workshops.

Vernissage and Art Competition Friday March 4th

I have made it into the final round of the annual Palette Carougeoise art competition!  

I am really excited about this and I am hoping you will join me at the Vernissage being held Friday, March 4th at Salle des Fetes in Carouge starting around 6pm.  

It is a great exhibition, with paintings and sculptures from some wonderful Geneva artists.
